No food for 3 days

Hello Everyone,

Well, I'm not sure what has gotten in to me the past two weeks – but again I have had a wonderful week – with the exception of some spurts of boredom and one evening of mild depression.

I already told you that Daniel left for Arizona on Monday morning. So, Monday evening Jennifer and I had a mother-daughter night out. We went to dinner and then went shopping. We hit some incredible deals at Kohls. I bought two summer dresses, two shirts for work, and three summer spaghetti shirts for $60. Jennifer was not as conservative with  my money, but she got some much needed articles of clothing and it was well worth it. After shopping, we surprised Jimi with Dairy Queen.

Tuesday night we stayed home. I cleaned my house, which is how it will stay until Daniel comes home again. He-he. Oh ya, we also went to the grocery store and stocked our cupboards and fridge.

Wednesday night Jimi came over. We cooked corn and brats on the grill,  played horseshoes, and spent some quality time together before his trip.

Thursday morning Jimi left for ten days. He went on his annual "Great Adventure" with our friends from Texas. This year they are riding their bikes east across the southern states. He send me a text message every time they stop so I can track him on the map. And of course he calls me at least once a day.

Friday morning I started the lemonade cleansing. For the next 10 days, I will not eat a bite of solid food, coffee, soda, or anything except this special mixture of water, maple syrup, lemon juice, and cayenne pepper. It will cleanse and rid my body of built up waste and toxins, which can be the root of back paid and other ailments. I'm not so certain that I will do the whole ten days. It is recommended for 10 to 40 days. But, I want to be able to go to dinner with Jimi when he gets home; although I know that I can go to dinner with him any other time; therefore, I am going to play it by ear.

Friday night I hauled all my yard sale stuff to Jimi's and slept there. Jennifer was in Lyons with her friends for the annual town festival. About bed time I got really down, but I called my sister and she cheered me up.

Saturday Jada and I had a very slow yard sale at Jimi's house. Between four people we made $171. My share was $50. Nothing like the last one. I sent most rest of my stuff to the Humane Society Thrift Store.

Sunday I stayed home all day and got lots of things done. I made to scrapbook pages, pulled weeds, worked on my bathroom and stairs, shampooed the kitchen carpet, did all the laundry, and many other smaller miscellaneous things. Jennifer's new friend Jerome came over and spent the day with her.

It is Sunday night now and I have not had a bite of food for more than 72 hours. I feel really good. I don't feel hungry at all, but I do have occasional habit cravings. Once in a while I catch myself reaching for something Jennifer has sitting out like a potato chip and then I realize that I can't have anything. Otherwise all is well.

Well that's all for now. Another week come and gone.

Trees do not belong on trucks!

Hello All,

It was tough going to work last Monday. I had no umph or desire to go in, but after putzing around the house for a while in the morning, I went to work, and as usual made it through the day.  After work I ran a few errands and then met Jimi, Connie, and Rex (our friends) for supper at TGI Fridays. We visited, laughed, and ate. It was fun to see Connie again.

Tuesday after work I had an appointment with Kaplan University. I can continue to go to school for my bachelors degree, but have decided against it. It's too expensive, and I do not want to rack up anymore student loans. Front Range Community College approved my appeal; therefore, I can continue going to school there and earn and second associates degree, but again I'm not so sure it's worth getting further in debt. So..at least for now, I am done with college - my associates degree will have to do. Maybe someday I will go back - who knows.

Rest of Tuesday and Wednesday evening I worked on my bathroom, did yard work, laundry, cleaned and organized...you know...all the normal stuff.

Thursday I had planned to clean and organize the garage. I worked on it about two hours when Jimi came over. He wanted to cut the dead branches off the big tree in the back yard with the chain saw. The dead part just happen to be the original big main part of the tree. It was dead or dying and sucking the life out of rest of the tree. Now there are three things that I know of in which Jimi loves more than me: his dog, his truck, and his motorcycles. Knowing how much he loves his truck, I was quite surprised twhen he wasn't livid when the tree fell on his truck.  :-o I felt real bad about it, but he shrugged his shoulders and said "shit happens, at least no one was hurt". His truck will be fine. He needs a new driver side mirror and fender. His door would not open at first and he had fun imitating the dukes of hazard for a while - but after some pounding, he got it to open and close.

Anyhow, we chopped the tree up enough to move it off the grass, I cleaned up the mess in the yard and we called it a night.

Friday after work, Daniel and I hopped in the car and headed to Nebraska for Father's Day weekend. Saturday we hung out with my dad in Kearney, helped him work on computers, and talked with Jimi over Skyp with the web cam. It was a short trip, but well worth it. I did a lot of crocheting while Daniel drove to and from Nebraska.

Sunday: Daniel and I returned home to get ready for another week. I planted some bulbs in my garden that Jimi had given me a couple of weeks ago. I sat on my back patio grilling burgers and drinking margaritas. The weekend was pretty quick, but it was relaxing.

And here another week is upon us. I don't have any plans this week really. I'm beginning to feel like things have come to a halt with the word 'boring' written all over it. I will have to change that. I am thinking about joining the volleyball team again and maybe going to the Bit of Billiards for pool on Tuesday nights with a friend. Anyhow, just some things I am tossing around in my brain. I will keep you posted.

Hope all is well and you all have a good week.

Wow...glad thats over

Hello everyone,

Last I left off, I told you that Daniel was really sick and spent the weekend in the dark basement. If Daniel wasn't better by Monday, Jimi had planned to take him to the Doctor. Considering I do not have medical insurance yet, it was a good thing when Monday morning came and Daniel showed significant signs of getting better. He 100% back to his old self again.

Monday evening I worked for Cencorp (my 2nd job) and began gathering things for my yard sale. And, actually both of those things consumed my entire week. I worked 9 and 10 hour days at Crocs. Work is still going very well. Even though I worked long hours, I really like my job.

Jimi bought another older motorcycle, which he will chop, customize, and sell. He also put #24 up for sale. #24 is an old goldwing he bought two years ago: he chopped and customized it too. It's called #24 after my birthday, the number is painted on the bike in several places. Here is his listing so you can see pictures: here

I didn't see much of Jimi this week. Now that I don't pick the kids up from his house everyday, I bypass Longmont to and from work. Even though we were around each other on the weekend, I was so busy that I really feel like I didn't see him.

I still have not heard from the college about classes this semester, but that's OK. I have pretty much decided that I am not going to attend Front Range Community College. I have something else in the works, but am also contemplating calling it good with what I've got.I dropped the classes I was signed up for and cancelled my funding.

I started a very serious diet, or better yet, eating plan this past week. Got to keep my girly figure in check. It's not really a diet, but more like  eating healthy. I've cut out virtually all salt, sweets, and most carbs. I did very well on it, although there were a few times when a craving for cookies or something hit me. Oh ya, I cut out beer too. I ate 1 1/2 pieces of pizza on Saturday though. :-(

Anyhow, Saturday was our yard sale. Miia, Jada and I did it at Miia's house. We made a total of $650 between the three of us and in addition, Daniel made $150.00. We had fun doing it. Jada and I are going to have another one in a few weeks at Jimi's house.

Saturday night Jennifer camped out in the back yard with her friends. Daniel, Jimi, and I went to an amusement park. We rode go-carts and played miniature golf. I remember playing miniature golf a lot as a child with my mom and dad. It was always such a treat and we had lots of fun. I was all excited about it Saturday night, but determined that it was really pretty boring. It's funny how things can look so different from a child's view. We had a blast on the go-carts though!!!

Sunday I cleaned my house, did laundry and worked on my bathroom. I was determined to get it done Sunday but failed. So it's baby step and I will keep working on it. Sunday night Daniel, Jenn, and her friends took our tent and some camping stuff and went to Union Reservoir in Longmont to camp. I was home alone (well, with the puppies). In the end, I survived. No monsters or goblins got me!! He-he.

Anyhow, it's back to work this morning. I'm not sure what this week has in store for me, but I will take it as it comes.

We painted Jimi's house

Hello Friends and Family,

All is well on the home front. This past week didn't go exactly as I had originally planned, but none the less it went well.

I already told you about our bar-b-que on Monday.

Tuesday was back to work and Tuesday evening I worked on texturing and painting my bathroom. Like a big dummy, I left my car lights on at work and my battery died. Jimi came and rescued me.

Wednesday night I had planned to finish the bathroom, but instead I worked on my scrapbook.

Thursday evening, Melody and I went to Red Lobster for dinner to celebrate each other's birthdays. It has become an annual ritual for us and this was our sixth year (we think as we have kind of lost count). Daniel came down sick with a sore throat, a slight head cold, and what appeared to be pink eye.

I found out that I am on financial suspension at the college. Which means that I have already received my degree and am no longer eligable to receive financial aide through Front Range Community College. I can continue going to school there if I can pay for it myself. I filed an appeal to go before the appeals board which met on Friday. I was told I would have heard something by Friday afternoon, but I did not. Part of me wants to continue and another part of me says I'm content with where I'm at.

Friday after work, I loaded up dogs, kids, books, bags, and food and headed for Jimi's house. I was excited to see his house, as he painted the outside Friday morning. It looked absolutely awesome. He continued to work on it Friday evening, while I sat on the couch paying bills - OUCH. Daniel was pretty miserable and slept most of the day and evening. Jenn went to Westminster with some friends to see a movie.

Daniel was very sick on Saturday and slept all day in Jimi's basement. Jenn hung out on the couch while Jimi and I taped windows and painted the eaves on the house and garage. We finally called it a day about 5pm. We all four took showers and went to the Flatirons Mall. We ate in the food court, tried on Crocs shoes at the Kiosk and then went to the movies. Jimi and Daniel saw the new Indiana Jones movie and Jennifer and I saw the Sex and the City movie. Afterwards we came home and went to sleep.

Sunday was pretty much a repeat of Saturday. Jenn hung out on the couch and Daniel remained sick and confined to the basement. Jimi and I painted the trim around the windows, doors, etc. His house guests, Jana and Juraj helped us too. We worked all day. Jimi started about 7am, I started about 8am and we both called it a day around 6pm. We made burgers on the grill, packed up all our things and headed for home. It was about 8:30 when the kids and I got home. I had to get my things ready for work on Monday and just rest. I was so exhausted!

Since I didn't work on my bathroom last week, I am really hoping to get it finished this week, but I will need Jimi's help.

I should find out tomorrow if I will be attending college over the summer. Anyhow, it's late and time for bed.
