Texas again...

Hello Friends and Family,

Another week gone by and another Monday here (Tuesday now).

We had a pleasant week. Jimi got to spend some time with his friend Matt. When not working, I did a few more paintings. The parameter of my art studio is filling up fast. I had lunch with my friend Vicki, coffee with Brenda, and dinner with Melody. Trying to stay in touch with all my close friends and enjoy their company while I am still around.

I've been reading the book "The Lord of the Rings". It's slow going and I'm certain that if I am even able to finish it, it will take the entire six weeks. I am nearly 1/2 way through it and have just over three weeks before it has to be returned to the library.

Jimi and I played pool a couple of evenings last week. I lost every game except the last one, which I won without hitting a single ball in the pocket. Jimi's been really good lately - leaving me in the dust. Good job Jimi!

We had a showing on the house on Saturday, but no news has come back from that yet.

Sunday I flew to Texas for two weeks. I am meeting with an employee from Finland, who is gathering information to convert the system over to the system used in Finland. Fun fun - I think I am going to get a lot busier pretty soon. It sounds like I may be spending  a lot more time in Texas in the coming months. Jimi and I also have some personal travel coming up.

That's all for now. Hope all is well with you.

Love everybody,

Lorie & Jimi

Lookie-loos

Hello Friends and Family,

I probably say this alot, but the week seemed to fly by again. Nothing of signifigance happen last week. We had one showing on the house and in fact the lookie-loos said if the house was located a couple of blocks North they would buy it. They loved the house but did not like the neighborhood or the railroad tracks located a block South of us.

Jimi's birthday was last Friday, October 15th. We loaded some things in the truck and drove to Nebraska to visit my parents. Jimi worked some more on preparing the LTD for storage. Dad found us a garage we can rent to store the LTD in while we are away. Mom and I took Jimi and Dad to lunch for their birthdays and we moved various pieces of furniture around for dad. We had a fantastic weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMI!

That's about it - another week ahead.

Love everybody,
Lorie & Jimi

Ooops - I forgot

Hello Friends and Family,

I can't believe it's been more than two weeks since I've written a weekly update. In the past two and a half years, I don't think I've ever gone this long and my reason for skipping last week was simply that I forgot - WOW - can you believe it? I am normally right on top of writing the weekly update; however, Cencorp has kept my mind quite busy.

I spent 8 days in McAllen. Over the weekend I went to South Padre Island and relaxed on the beach for the entire day. It was AWESOME. I read my book and did some oil pastel painting. I finished all four books of the Twilight series as well as started and finished a book by the same author "The Host".  I recommend all of them. I began reading the "Lord of the Rings", which will take much longer to get through. My oil painting is progressing well, finishing four paintings in the last three days. Jimi wants to know what I plan to do with these paintings and I have no idea. I guess I will give them away. You can view them on our blog under Lorie's art or just click this link:  http://dogbonegraphics.com/blog/?page_id=1357

Jimi has been working on his radio system for the boat. Getting it going and learning all the little ins and outs - it can be tough at times, but he's doing well and better to be messing around with it now rather than when we have a boat and are trying to learn 500 other things at the same time.

Matt and Jimi went to Moab for a few days while I was in Texas. Jimi was hoping to do some night time time-laps photography, but mother nature had other ideas. It rained and or was quite cloudy, so the boys four wheeled in the mud bringing home a really really dirty truck - ha ha.

There hasn't been any interest or even any showings on the house lately. We are prepared to be here through the winter and hope the house sells next spring. Though most of our things are packed up in the garage, it's quite cozy here and easy to keep clean with it being mostly empty. I may have to break out my scrap booking supplies though to work on and finish my 2010 album. I put it on hold thinking we would be in Florida by now.

Last Sunday was my father's birthday: 10-10-10 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD - WE LOVE YOU!!!

More travel coming up for me and possibly Jimi too. That's all for now.
Love Everybody,
Lorie & Jimi
