Hugs & Hearts!

February was a blast. We kept busy with tradional sailboat life and friends from the midwest.

"Life is good in Boot Key Harbor"

First, I'll start with a few random pictures. This iquana lives inthe mangroves next tothe tiki hut.

Jimi ready for an adventure.

We walked 2 miles to Pigeon Key on the restored Old Seven Mile bridge and the 2 miles back. We didn't tour Pigeon Key because it costs $15 per person; we didn't want to spend the money.

We went to dinner during happy hour at Castaways with Tim and Jill from s/v Links. The Manatees were at their drinking fountain. I just can't get enough of these guys.

We had fun participating in a harbor scanvenger hunt. We found everything on the list.

On February 15th, We picked Jackie and Brenda up from the airport in Key West!

First on the agenda was dinner and drinks at the Conch Republic in Key West.

We went back to Key West the next day; on the way we inrtoduced them to Fred and Wilma.

We went to the Aquarium in Key West and saw amazing sea life and more.

And we did a lot of walking...

We went sailing - the girls did great and LOVED it. No one got sea sick (even me).

The girls set out for a beach day, but it was way too hot, so we went for a drink at Overseas Pub.

Friday even we listened to spiritual music in the park put on by two local churches.

Saturday we went to Crane Point. That is a wonderful place to visit.

Saturday evening we went to the Sunset Bar and Grill.

Sunday, we spent a little time beach combing.

Here are a few more random pictures of their visit.

We dropped the girls off in Key West on Sunday evening, February 20th.

We really enoyed a fantastic visit with them and hope they come back to see us again next season.

We left Marathon, Florida on February 23rd for an overnight sail to Marco Island. The sail was perfect!

Beach Combing or shelling; it could be called either. Regardless, I was on a mission to collect shells to take home.

We'll stay in Marco for a while, so until next month...stay safe!
