Dear Friends and Family,
Things are moving along now.
Jimi and I cleaned the house, not just any clean - but a crazy, knock em out, major deep cleaning. We worked together from room to room working our way through until every room in the house was finished. We went through every item sorting it into a donation pile and boxing up coast items. We cleaned walls, window seals, heater vents, baseboards, ceiling fans, vacuumed, swept and mopped. We started somewhere between 8:30 and 9am and did not stop until 6:40pm. We were beat, but the end results were so worth the efforts. The house looks and feels clean and uncluttered.
We sold our small sail boat; doubling our money. Additionally, we sold my Ninja for slightly more than I bought it for a year ago. And I recieved word that we should be closing on my house by the end of the month. Jimi contacted Realtors and made appointments for the coming week to list his house for sale. Exciting things are happening!
Jimi ordered the parts for my car and began the repair process.
Saturday we went to the red neck races at the Colorado National Speedway. It was a great race. The final event was a six lap figure eight with school buses. On the first lap one of the buses crashed into the wall and the entire front end of the bus including the axle fell off. They had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to get it off the track. Additionally, the back wheels were locked up. Eventually they did get it removed and the race continued. We watched a great fire work show after the races, which was a good thing, since it rained here on the 4th.
Jimi has joined me with "great" status. He is now a Great Uncle. His niece Tracy (with husband, Tom) delivered a baby boy 7.5 lbs on Friday morning. We are so happy for Tracy and Tom. Congratulations to them!
We had a very encouraging week, as things really fell in to place and are moving along nicely.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!
Until next week. Love everybody,
Lorie & Jimi
