Done with Chemo

I completely missed a post for February. Not much happened. I started the next chemo meds, taxol. It's going very well. The worst thing I've experienced is neuropathy. The doctors say it could be permanent or it could go away in time.

Since I haven't been sick, I've gone back to church full time, started attending another womans bible study and have been back at me embroidery ad sewing machines.

Aubree's birthday was March 1st. We all took her to the Mexican resturant in Alma.

Jenn also had a birthday party in Norton for her.

What a great day to celebrate.
I finished chemo!
Jenn, Josh and Aubree surprised me and we went for a celebritory drink afterwords.

Brittany sent me a rose to congratulate me.

A Snowman

Since we weren't able to snowbird in Florida this winter, Jimi decided to drive down to Florida to check on Sanibel. He'll also bring the batteries back to monitor them.

Dr. Hartl agreed to give me the month of January off for chemo. The meds took a toll on me and I need a break.
With that said I brought Jenn's dog Jax to stay with me while Jimi is gone. He's a good companion and a good boy.

I'm working on my chemo quilt.

My friend, Margi Ehrke, has been a true blessing and God send. She checks on me daily and bring me gifts.

What a great time to make donuts.

My neighbor across the street sent this alohe plant to me. So sweet!

We got a bunch of snow. I so love it. I managed to shovel the side walks out front. I was weak and it took me all day but I prevailed.

And when Jimi got home from Florida, Aubree came over.
We built a snowman!
Snow much fun!!

A Hairless Christmas

After my second chemo treatment, my hair started coming out. I noticed it mostly when I would brush my hair after a shower.

Here's a picture of when the red devil chemo drug looks like.

I had Jimi shave my head to help with the annoying hair loss.

From here in out, I guess I'll be wearing head coverings.

My sister took me Christmas shopping. I was very weak, but we did it and had a lot of fun.

We went to the Ehrke's Christmas program with mom and dad.

Aubree went to work with her dad and he sent me this picture.

Aubree and grandpa time.

Aubree and grandma time.

Daniel and Chelsea came for Christmas. It was a real treat.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was amazing. I baked a bunch of food for Christmas Eve and we opened gifts.
We were reunited with a family member we haven't seen in 20 years.
