Relief

Having both my covid shots is such a relief. Life is opening up again. I'm able to see family, spend a lot more time with Aubree, go to church and more. Life is good!

Eater Egg hunt in Norton.

Jimi installed the solar panels on the roof.

Aubree was on a soccer team, but really didn't want to play.

I had been saving my reward points and finally cashed them in to buy this Brother serger - no happy!

And after working hard and saving for months I was able to buy a larger embroidery machine.
This machine will open to door for many projects. So  excited!!

This little tyke at a routine doctor appointment.

Visitors

It feels like we had a busy March or at least I just got a lot of pictures. And we had many visitors. First on the guest list was this deer that seems to be hanging out in out back yard more often than not.

Aubree came to stay with me for a few days and in addition my great great niece, just two months old came for a visit and Aubree got to hold baby Zayleigh. She was so excited.

Of course - puppy dog pancakes for breakfast.

Our new toy has something like 1800 games. So overwhelming, but so so fun.

I made birthday cupcakes for Aubree's birthday party and she helped me decorate them.

She liked her alphabet quilt.

I received my second shot.

Over the past three years I've worn out the mechanics on my embroidery foot - no problem though - I just ordered a new one and it's on the way.

Jimi decided we should buy and install solar panels. He found an outstanding deal and drove to Texas to pick them up. Next step will be installation.

Jimi ordered me a helmet for our upcoming motorcycle trip.

Happy Valentines

This year for valentines I made free standing lace bookmarks to give away.

I also has a literal blast making donuts.
And of course we have to have a pretty box for the donuts.

Here's a peak at the little alphabet quilt I made for Aubree for her birthday.

I was completely surprised when the Norton County Health Department told me I could come in for my vaccine. Thank you to Jenn for putting me on the list.

Also my father, mother and sister have received their first shot. Now we are trying to get Jimi scheduled.

Lazy Days

I was pretty lazy in January.

I did, however, make these yummy puppy dog pancakes.

I didn't do much crafting but took some time off and did more planning. I'm still hoping I will be able to get the vaccine and life will go back to normal.

It's cold in the sanctuary so Jimi isn't able to do much work over there. He spends most of his time in the apartment finding little things to stay busy with.

Christmas

 WOW

I would have thought I'd learn my lesson after being to disappointed about not getting pictures for Thanksgiving, but Oooop I did it again. Here we are with Christmas and nooooo pictures.

Earlier in the month Jimi and I delivered Christmas presents to Uncle Lavern's so he can give to his children, grand children and great grand children. This will be their first Christmas without Aunt Carol.

On Christmas Eve we wore our ugly sweaters and had a white elephant gift exchange with my parents, great niece, her boyfriend and her grandfather. It was small group, we distanced and I wore a mask (no one else did). We had such a good time. Jimi and I agree that Brittany brought the best white elephant gifts.
Afterwards, before everyone went home, Brittany and Benson included us in choosing the spelling of their baby's name. We all voted and the spelling will be Zayleigh. She is due the beginning of January.

Merry Christmas

and

Happy New Year

Thanksgiving

Home for Thanksgiving this year. I don't know the last time I was home for Thanksgiving. The last one I remember is 2015. So home for Thanksgiving and not one picture - not a single one. Really???

Well anyhow, we had a pretty great day. I made a full traditional dinner and then Jimi and I ate alone.

We then boxed up meals and delivered them to my sister in Orleans and Jimi's brother, Jeff and wife Karen.

When we got back home we went over to my parents and visited with them for a little while.

It was a day of gratitude for sure. We are thankful for the people in our lives.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pluggin away

I'm working my little fingers to the bone trying to get ready for Christmas. I'm added additional people to my list this year as well.

We have gotten our first snow for the season. I love the snow (just not the cold)

We went to Omaha for my annual MRIs and Doctor appointment. The visit went very well. I am still in remission and no relapses showed up on the MRIs.

My mom gave me this old cabinet. I'm excited to restore it and use it as a fabric closet.

I am very happy how it turned out.

And BTW orders from my Etsy shop started coming in. It's all Christmas related. :-)
